Flexibuster processes food waste on the site that produces it, converting it into renewable electricity, heat and biofertiliser. For an operator currently paying for food waste to be collected and hauled away, that replaces a recurring operating cost with an owned asset of twenty-year design life, sited inside the existing boundary and requiring no connection to a central treatment plant.
Whether that case stands up depends on the waste you generate, the site you run and the regulation you answer to. The guides below set out each of those, by sector and by market.
Each market moves at a different pace, and the driver is rarely the same one. In the United Kingdom it is Simpler Recycling together with a rising Landfill Tax. Across the European Union it is Article 22 of the Waste Framework Directive. France applies AGEC and the TGAP levy, Italy works through FORSU with PNRR funding available, and Spain operates under Ley 7/2022. In the United States the driver is commercial and, increasingly, resilience rather than statute.
Flexibuster arrives containerised and pre-commissioned. It does not require a bespoke building, a planning-led civil works programme or a connection to third-party treatment infrastructure, which is what allows a site to move from decision to operation in a timeframe measured against a capital approval cycle rather than a construction one. Assessment begins with your waste composition and volumes, your current disposal costs and your site constraints.
We have operated containerised anaerobic digestion internationally for over a decade, on live sites where interruption is not acceptable. SEaB Energy is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 28001, has been supported by EU Horizon 2020 and InnovateUK, and was selected for Scale4ClimateTech. For a purchase with a twenty-year horizon, that operating record matters more than any single performance figure.
If you are evaluating on-site treatment and want to know whether the numbers work for your site, tell us what you run, the food waste volumes involved and what you currently pay to have them removed. We will point you to the relevant guide and, where it is useful, model the case with you. London +44 20 3003 5086. New York +1 202 599 4003.
