Romsey-based Solent Turf Supplies has revealed it has successfully trialled the use of a liquid digestate, a bi-product of the Anaerobic Digestion (AD) process, as a viable alternative to traditional chemical fertilisers. The value of digestate as a fertiliser is being recognised increasingly, as nutrients from digestate can be used to supplement or replace nutrients from artificial fertilisers.
