SEaB is in Korea – EU Gateway to Korea

On June 8 at the Seoul Press Centre, Mr. Gerhard Sabathil, EU Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, announced the launch of EU Gateway to Korea.
A total of 20 business missions, each comprising up to 50 small giants of new industries selected from among 28 EU Member States, will visit Korea in 2016–2020. For Korean companies, the missions offer insight into global industry trends and advanced European products and technologies, as well as opportunities for cooperation in trade, technology, and investment with some of Europe’s most promising companies.
Ambassador Sabathil said: “Europe has advanced technologies and expertise in the industries selected for EU Gateway to Korea. These key sectors also have high potential for cooperation between European and Korean companies, both for trade and investments.” The five targeted sectors are: Green Energy Technologies, Healthcare & Medical Technologies, Environment & Water Technologies, Construction & Building Technologies, and organic Food & Beverage.  “Our cooperation in these sectors will support Korean green policies for environment protection, reducing air pollution and fighting climate change”, he said.
