Last week on October the 11th the government announced a £3 million initiative loan fund to help farmers set up new small AD plants to turn their farm waste to energy. The loan fund will allow farmers to apply for funding to develop a business case to see if an AD is the right solution for them, as well as apply for up to £400,000 (maximum 50% of project cost) to help finance on-site AD technology, whilst still qualifying for government incentives for producing renewable energy.
