WindBuster FAQ’s
Why buy a Windbuster?
Windbuster’s vertical axis means it works in changeable wind direction without needing reorientation. We have also added a feature to deal with turbulent wind conditions, allowing the unit to be situated closer to the ground or in an urban setting. Windbuster is low noise and esthetically pleasing. We eliminate whistling as we have no leading edges. We do not use a transmission, which means increased reliability and lower maintenance costs. The windbuster can be installed roof mounted or ground mounted.
What is the minimum or maximum windspeed a Windbuster can handle?
The cut in speed for the WindBuster is 3.5m/s. Cut out speed is 16m/s. Maximum wind velocity the design can withstand is 58.1 m/s. We can conduct an initial assessment using national windspeed databases, a site survey is also available which will give a very good indication of expected wind speeds and energy outputs, and costs £199. For the most accurate information on wind speeds on your site, the recommendation is for one full-year of testing.
